| Pinot Noir has the generous fruit and smooth tannins one expects from this hot varietal. We highly recommend this, and all his wines, including the Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Although the winery makes 60,000 cases of all his wines, we recommend buying this wine by the case because good Pinot Noir at this price doesn’t last long. While Pinot Noir matches well with richly-textured fish like salmon, perhaps the ideal food complement would be a crown roast of lamb with herbed potatoes, and a salad of mixed field greens.
